This morning we held our annual Pinwheels for Peace celebration, led by our wonderful art teacher, Mrs. O'Leary.

Pinwheels for Peace is a Riverdale tradition that started in 2014! This internationally acknowledged program was started by two art teachers in Florida more than 20 years ago to celebrate the International Day of Peace, observed on September 21.

Many thanks to the students and educators who helped create our newest peaceful pinwheel garden - and for your work on our ceremony this morning. This is always a special opportunity for our students and community to come together and reflect on the importance of peace, kindness, and hope.
